The beginning of Peyton's Room

Chris and I decided that we were going to have a pink & brown theme to Peyton's room ... so I talked to my "interior designer mom" to get here opinion and she thought it was a great idea and offered to help paint! Well right after we found out we were having a girl, I went out and bought the paint. Of course I wanted to start painting right away so I started myself ... well that didn't work out so well ... my back killed. Amie offered to come over and help paint for a bit and she was over for about an hour and got pretty much the whole first coat on. Yeah for Amie!! :)My mom then came over and painted all the trim and while we were in Edmonton ... she finished the second & third coat! :) Today, my mom and I painted the brown circles and I finished the letters and put them up! We ordered the furniture and as soon as it all gets delivered and set up, I will post more pics! For now ... enjoy what we have done so far!

The sign on her door that Daddy says he's going to
put on the front door of our house when she
gets older!

Can you guess who's room it is?

Her closet ... full of clothes :)

Her windows ... they will have pink & brown valances
on them soon!

21 Weeks

Here is my belly at 21 weeks. I am starting to put on more weight now! We had a doctor's appointment on Friday and I have put on a total of 6.8 lbs since the beginning of the pregnancy! Everything is going as planned, the fundal height measured at 21cm which is perfect since I am 21 weeks :) Peyton is very healthy and moving around ALOT!! Her favorite time to be active is between 9:30 and 10:30 at night ... her Daddy has now felt her move, as well as, her Nana J & Uncle Sean! Our next doctor's appointment is on Oct 12th. Chris and I are off to Edmonton this Friday for the weekend to spend some time together at West Edmonton Mall, shopping & celebrating a belated 1st wedding anniversary!

We're having a little GIRL :)

As you can tell by the new color of our blog (haha) we're having a little girl! We went for our 3D Ultrasound yesterday and that's what they told us! :) We don't have any pictures from the ultrasound yet because Peyton is still quite tiny and the pictures were a bit blurry ... so they asked us if we wanted to come back at 26 weeks (NO CHARGE!) and do the ultrasound again and get the pictures and DVD then! It was still so neat to see though ... what a great experience. I recommend it to anyone, even if you don't want to find out the sex. We can't wait to go back and see how much she has grown and all the changes in her features! I must say though ... she did look pretty cute and definitely has her Daddy's cute little lips! ;) But who am I kidding, she is our daughter and I'm sure I'm a bit bias already! ;)
