It's been a while ... Peyton's 10 months old!

I know, I know ... it's been a while! I don't know what caught up with me. We have been very busy, but that's no excuse! ;) So much has happen within the last 2 months. Where do I even start?!

Peyton is now WALKING!! Yes, walking. It may be one of the cutest things you have ever seen, not to mention one of my proudest moments to date:) If you are a parent, you completely understand how proud you are everyday of your child, but the day that they take their first steps, and then figure it all out and actually start walking is amazing!!! It was so neat to see her take a few steps, fall, and get up and try again! She is a VERY tough little girl. She began taking 1-2 steps when she was just over 9 months old, and by Dec 6th (her 10 month birthday) she was taking 10 steps at a time, sitting down or crawling for a bit and then getting up and doing it again! Now, she is a full on walker! YAY for Peyton!

Another thing that blows my mind about our daughter, I know I am bias, but I think she takes after her dad and is VERY smart! She already says 10 words. Not only does she say the words, but she knows how and when to use them. At first I thought this was pretty normal, as I don't have any other children, but then seeing others amazement when she says them .... I think I may be wrong! Here are a few things that she says:

Mama (1st word)
Dada
Daddy
Nana
Daisy (my parents dog, and now thinks every dog/puppy is "Daisy")
Hi
Nigh (night ... just can't pronounce the "T")
Baba
Ta-Ta (please & thank you ... not used ALL the time)
Wow

What else? Mmmmmm ... Oh, she has 4 ... almost 5 teeth now! The first tooth that she cut, I didn't even notice. Here I have been dreading the whole teething thing, thinking that it is going to be a horrible experience for the both of us. Yet, she didn't even seem that different with the first one and the forth one. The two in between were a little rough, but nothing to the level of what I was expecting!

So, seeing that Christmas is just around the corner, and it is Peyton's FIRST Christmas. We decided to take her to see Santa. I have to explain and Peyton LOVES Santa, or so we thought! Everything little Santa figurine, Santa show, anything to do with Santa she loves. She calls him Tan-ta, and squeals at the sight or sound of him. She also, when you ask her what Santa says bobs up and down 3 times and puts her mouth in the "HO" shape. Nothing comes out but it is SO cute!! So, here I am thinking that she is going to be so excited to see Santa in real life and I am going to prove my mom wrong that she is going to scream like most other children! I WAS WRONG!! She HATED Santa and screamed bloody murder! Poor thing was SO devastated!! She still loves anything Santa ... just not the real one! :)

Peyton is 8 Months Old!!

I swear that I say this EVERY post, but I really can't believe that Peyton is EIGHT months old! Time has been flying by! She is such a joy, and has the BEST personality! She is so happy, and very friendly to others. She loves to giggle, and play with her friends! She now says "Mama" when she really needs me ... it's more like "mama-mama-ma-ma-ma-ma" but I'll take it, because I know that she wants me! I don't know what else to say about her, except for she is just great! She is getting so tall and climbing on everything she can see. She has even had her FIRST Thanksgiving Dinner ... which she loved! Here are some recent pictures of her ... ENJOY! :)

Peyton is 7 months old!!!

Yes ... can you believe it? Peyton is SEVEN months old! This last month has been pretty incredible! Peyton has learned to do SO many new things. She now is full on crawling. She pulls herself up on furniture and walks across them. She can climb the stairs and she eats breakfast, lunch and dinner as solid foods! Her favorite things are sweet potatoes and apples :) She can't get enough! She has such a great personality! We are so truly blessed! I don't know what lese to tell you besides ... she is a complete joy! Here are some pictures from the last month ... ENJOY!!

Peyton is 6 Months Old!!

We can hardly believe how fast the time has gone by and that our little girl is 6 months old already!! She is such a joy to have in our lives! She is so happy and way too cute for her own good! She laughs constantly, eats solid foods, and is almost crawling! She is doing what we call "The Army Crawl" ... where she pulls herself across the floor and is actually quite quick at it! :) She is 17lbs 11.5 oz and 28.5 inches long! So according to the charts, she is above the 95th% for height and in the 70-85% for weight. She is a growing girl :) Here are a couple of pictures to see for yourself!! ENJOY! :)

Our 1st Family Vacation! :)

We took our first family vacation this past week, and had so much fun! We went to Ocean Shores (Long Beach) Washington and stayed at the Quinault Resort, Casino & Spa. We hung out at the beach, shopped, played in the casino and rented Mopeds! :) Peyton was such a good girl ... especially with the 6 hour drive each way! She was definitly a popular little girl at the resort! We have never had so many people come up to us and compliment her! It was so nice :) The day we left for a vacation Peyton had her "5 month birthday" and is now a whopping 17 lbs 6.5oz and almost 28 inches long! She is rolling over (both ways) doing "push-ups" (as Uncle Sean calls them) holding herself up on furniture (if we put her there) and "scooting" ... she is going to take off in no time at all! She also, is getting cuter and cuter everyday!! Here are a few pictures from our vacation and also some other recent ones! ENJOY!!
